Summary Description
YWCA Boston offers a wide range of programs to meet its mission of “eliminating racism and empowering women”. These include community dialogues on race and ethnicity, financial literacy for women, and health and wellness education and empowerment for women. Critical to the success of each of these programs is strong community outreach and relationship management. The Community Outreach Intern will support efforts to let the public know about our programs, welcome new participants and keep past participants engaged in our work through a variety of communication strategies.
Interns are supported by professional YWCA Boston staff. The commitment is 15-20 hours a week with flexible hours to be determined by the intern and supervisor.
