Data Management Volunteer/Intern

Summary Description

YWCA Boston is committed to eliminating racism and empowering women.

YWCA Boston recently purchased and launched “Efforts to Outcomes” (ETO) software to help align staff with agency goals and measure longitudinal program outcomes. A volunteer is sought to assist in transitioning old data files from Access and Excel into the new web-based system.

Volunteers are supported by professional YWCA Boston staff and will receive an orientation prior to starting. The time commitment can range from 5 to 10 hours per week. Volunteering remotely is a possibility

Qualifications

Substantial experience with database management and data evaluation

Strong communication skills

Understanding of the work of YWCA Boston and belief in its mission

Ability to work independently

Experience in an office setting, comfort with Microsoft Office

Demonstrated ability to successfully work in an environment with economic, racial, ethnic and gender diversity

Key Responsibilities 

Meet with staff to determine data needs and scope of project.

Input data and run reports on or before deadline

Attend planning meetings as appropriate

Communicate regularly with staff regarding project status and needs

Represent YWCA Boston in a professional manner
