Community Health Educator

YWCA Boston is seeking a top-notch, experienced Community Health Educator to enhance its mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.  Specifically, the organization seeks to further its efforts to reduce health disparities among low-income women and girls of color, and to expand community-based programs to increase Boston’s civic engagement on race and ethnic relations.

At a minimum, interested candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in related education, human services and/or healthcare fields, and three to five years of direct women’s community health education.

Fluency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole highly desired. Additionally, final candidates will need to: ably demonstrate ability and desire to work within community, institutional and corporate environments and produce specific evidence-based outcomes;  possess superior written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated project management experience. Enthusiasm, positive sense of humor and can do attitude are required.

Youth/Police Program Coordinator

YWCA Boston is seeking a Youth/Police Program Coordinator to enhance its mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.  Specifically, the organization seeks a highly skilled facilitator and organizer to develop, engage and support the evidence-based curricula, collaborators and resources – including volunteers –  of YWCA Boston’s anti-racism programs.  

Specifically, the coordinator will grow and facilitate the development and implementation of YWCA Boston’s youth/police dialogues program and other YWCA Boston programs as needed.

The Coordinator will also build relationships with the Boston Police Department and Massachusetts Department of Youth Services,  help to develop and implement short and long-term strategies for building community members’ longitudinal engagement and participation in YWCA activities, and support outcomes measurement efforts.

At a minimum, interested candidates must have a bachelor's degree in related human services, social science and/or criminal justice field. Direct experience working with both management-level law enforcement and incarcerated youth required.  Fluency in Spanish, a plus.

Additionally, final candidates will need to: ably demonstrate ability and desire to work within community, institutional and corporate environments and produce specific evidence-based outcomes; possess superior written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated project management and/or community-building experience. Fund Development Associate

 YWCA Boston seeks an enthusiastic Fund Development Associate to enhance its mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.  Specifically, the Associate will help the organization to increase both the number of donors, and amount of giving to YWCA Boston through donor data management, stewardship, special event coordination and grant writing and research.  At a minimum, interested candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of experience in a development, sales, marketing or customer service role.

The ideal candidate will have superior organizational written and verbal communications skills,  demonstrated project management experience and excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Grant writing and Raiser’s Edge training and experience are preferred. Additionally, the candidate must have the ability to work effectively under pressure, take initiative, be both self-directed and take direction well, and be willing to work some evenings and early mornings, as needed.

Community Outreach Fellow

Massachusetts Promise Fellows deliver the resources that young people need to be successful in life by mobilizing and organizing community activity, creating and leading powerful initiatives, and training and inspiring citizen volunteers.

The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship achieves this by placing Fellows with non-profit organizations and state/local government agencies that focus on fulfilling the needs of our youth by providing; a caring adult, a safe place, a healthy start, a marketable skill, and an opportunity to give back.

As a Promise Fellowship site, YWCA Boston is seeking a top-notch Youth Outreach Fellow to enhance its mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Specifically, the organization seeks to expand community-based programs to increase Boston's civic engagement on race and ethnic relations and to further its efforts to reduce health disparities among low-income women and girls of color.


During the one year fellowship, the Youth Outreach Fellow recruits and enrolls youth for YWCA Boston programs. Fellow will be responsible for coordinating, planning and implementing Youth/Police Dialogues and will lead participants in planning and implementation of community action steps after the completion of the dialogue. Fellow will support youth recruitment for health programs. Fellow will cultivate prospective community partners, manage existing partnerships, develop and implement short and long-term strategies for building youth participation in YWCA Boston's public safety, anti-racism and health initiatives.
