YWCA Boston provides accessible, culturally-specific education and resources on a range of the most pressing health issues today, including breast and cervical cancer, cardiovascular health, STIs, obesity, diabetes, and violence.  By empowering primarily Black, Latina and immigrant women and girls to take control of their personal well-being, YWCA Boston works to improve the health of the community as a whole and to combat health disparities in Boston.  YWCA Boston serves approximately 3,000 at-risk women and girls every year. Its Spirit-Wise Sisters program is a unique support group for African American survivors of breast cancer.
